Like Em I´m in love with fragrances and scents; perfumes, candles & room sprays you name it. As I´m also addicted to Swedish fragrance house Byredo it´s not very surprising that I really like the packaging of the brand Commodity too. Too similar….? Not even gonna go there but the idea they have where if you are unsure of what scent you want – they send a kit of 10 testers for you to try at home and once you have decided you can order the bigger size. Your own scent lab before choosing instead of standing stressed in the store with to many scents going on, the perfect idea.
I booked a trip to Paris yesterday and I´m so excited about going. It turns out that both my husband and I had planned a surprise trip for each other for both our birthdays and even though the original plan was to go to the Amalfi coast as we haven´t been, we ended up deciding on Paris. I lived there for a year when I was younger, studying French at La Sorbonne. An amazing time but longer ago than I would like to admit so please please if you have any advice on restaurants and nice interior shops I would love to get some (big thanks to Josefin who has already been kind to point me in the right direction).
Believe it or not but I´ve already looked at over a 1000 (!!) apartments…..I know that is probably not normal but I really enjoy it so much… Without doubt we will end up somewhere around Marais. See you in May, Paris!
Mood board by me. Pics via parisian lovely J´ADR with thanks
Ok so it´s really grey outside today and the temperatures are going down here in Sweden again after an incredible week filled with sun, so let´s kick this weekend of with some summer dreams and this amazing place just outside of Sydney.
Ok, so I ended up once again scrolling through photographer Heidi Lerkenfeldt´s portfolio and am so in love with all of the spaces and interiors and just had to show three more rooms (in addition to the offices below) that are just amazing.
On my mind right now….sheer white curtains. We are currently in the planning phase of making some changes in our basement. One part of the big room will be transformed into an office and the other as a guest room and space for the kids to watch TV and play games. All divided with a white sheer curtain to make two rooms in one but without taking any light or feeling of space. Selling some furniture and am on auction sites all the time to find the perfect pieces. Very excited.
Really happy to be contributing to great initiative Make it Last that I´ve written about here before. Sustainability doesn’t have to compromise anything and this is the first round to hopefully be inspired by. All items used are vintage or made of sustainable and/or recycled and ecological materials. More to come in the future and further info here.
Thanks to always inspiring founders Emma Elwin & Lisa Corneliusson for letting me play! Everything captured beautifully by photographer Pauline Suzor.
Took the car to our summerhouse last night to get some fresh air and to work without distraction for a day. Comfy clothes, the best view and the only deadline is to have enough done before lunch to enjoy a slow meal in the sun. Wish & hope that I can do more of this in the future, it truly is a privilege and a way to get some energy and new inspiration going. Hope you all have a great Friday!
