Sorry for the long pause but what has happened here in Stockholm and what has been happening all around the world has made everything else seem non important. I´m not very good at dealing with all the hatred and violence that keeps many of us on our toes so having and continuing with since before scheduled plans is not as clear as one would have hoped. But like a friend of mine so wisely said today – there is no way of constantly protecting yourself and since life is so fragile and precious – we should without doubt still make the most out of it. With that in mind I´ll try to put all of the anxiety aside and enjoy what is coming. For those of you who read the monthly list for March you know my husband had planned a surprise trip for me and tomorrow it´s happening. I wasn´t suppose to know the destination but in a brief moment he accidentally talked about Paris and then I knew. Paris really has a special place in my heart since I lived there for a year and I´ll do my very best to make the next date as special as ever xx
Will not bring my computer so please feel free to join on Instagram instead.

Can´t believe how quickly this month has passed by…Only made it through half of my to do -list, both at home at at work. Hopefully April will bring more of Spring warmth and feelings. But before that, let´s go with the monthly list for March:
Travel: This month I was asked by my husband to block a weekend in April as he has planned a surprise trip. I´m probably one of the most curios people in the world so I´m trying to get him to reveal where we are going but he is super stubborn about it being a surprise so I will have to wait patiently. In the meantime me and my sister booked a trip for our mother and us as she just turned 70, so Mallorca – see you in September!
Shoes: Not only do I long for warmer days with lots of fresh fruit but apparently I have the need for dito on my feet too. These cuties are new in my wardrobe (that I have finally cleaned out and organized, wihooo!!)
Flower: My allergy is on a high at the moment so I´ll take that as proof Spring and more colours in nature are to come. Finally! Our magnolia tree just had one or two flowers when we moved in ten years ago but now it´s happily exploding every Spring and I can´t wait to see how many flowers this year will bring.
Food: How lovely do these look? Found these amazing coconut acai bowls over at Design Love Fest. Wish all meals could look this pretty.
Series: No surprise that just the scenery of this serie keeps me hooked but the cast and plot is so good too. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Swedish Alexander Skarsgård who is actually doing a really great job here. If you haven´t already seen it, perfect for this weekend!
Sustainable pick: My friend Maria Soxbo of interior blog Husligheter has always a million exciting projects going on and this one is no exception. Today she together with 11 other bloggers are launching initiative ”The Sustainable Society”. Together these blogs will pick one subject per month to write about within the subject of sustainability. Love it!! Really looking forward to follow, learn more and see different angles of the same theme.
Looking in my Pinterest file for ”Color” puts me in a good mood every single time.
The silence on the blog is due to a work marathon that has been going on for quite some time now. Even though it´s been so much fun in many ways with these great assignments, clients and colleagues, working 12-14 hours a day tends increase the desire for a little bit of sleep. Throughout all of it I´ve had this day as a goal – Thursday 23rd – that will be the day where I slow things down at least for a week and I have to say it feels so good. Even though I have a million things to do in terms of paper work and approx 40 big bags of props to unpack, this feels like holiday in comparison. The sun is shining, the birds are happily singing and I´ll be able to pick up the kids early today. Hello lovely Thursday!
I had planned to get a very unusual and glamorous start to this week by attending some of the fashion shows of Stockholm Fashion Week but ended up staying home with a sick small one instead. Tucked her in and started the race of organizing and unpacking all props that are always on the move from and back to their shelves. Most of the time I don´t even have time to unpack before I need them again but a goal for 2017 is to get things more sorted for an easy overview. Many of the props have been around for a long time and bring back so many memories with them. Several things in these images are still with me and have been used for so many jobs over the years. I have trouble parting from things that I love and tend to keep them longer than planned but as long as there is space on the shelves…This job was actually one of the very first I ever did. A photo shoot here at home together with photographer Kristofer Johnsson who I so enjoy to work with. I had made that 1×1 m plate the day before putting white tiles on one side and leaving the other in it´s natural costume of wood.
Just a few notes of some of the things in the images:
In pic 1: the gold mayfly necklace is a gift from my sister, the green vase I got from Lotta (Agaton) when cleaning out her props shelves one day on my internship with her 6 years ago, the Hermès soap I got from a close friend, that big pair of scissors looks even bigger in real life and I had rented it especially for this shoot.
In pic 2: The grey bowl has been with me for many years and we bought it in NY. We actually bought two, one for us and one for my parents. One of those gifts that are not really fit to go in your suitcase but luckily we made it. Several of the small glass bottles and the grey little box, again gifts from Lotta´s props shelves. The pink beauty I can´t remember the name of but I love how it looks like a small Japanese cherry tree in blossom.
In pic 3: That basket from Granit has been with me for so many jobs, a loyal friend. The three black stones I got from our friend´s daughter who had collected them for me as she knew what my job is about and was hoping to contribute. So sweet and thoughtful. The Maison Margiela Russian Dolls I had wished for for a really long time when receiving them as a gift and love them equally much today.
In pic 4: This one I actually made with the hope to send it to Granit so that they could see my work and hopefully would want to work with me. Back then I did many jobs without having an assignment but did pictures with photographers hoping for someone to want to pick up on them in the end. Funnily enough Granit sent a reply saying they had just done images very similar to this so that was that. But I had to start trying somewhere, right? The first two images where later published in Elle Decoration DK. So all turned out good in the end and all of these memories I keep close to my heart still today.
