2016

2016Back after a long break from the blog and the first thing I want to do is of course to wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope you´ve had a nice time off and that you are ready for 2016. I´m not one for making new year´s resolutions as I´m hoping that every day is a chance to make changes and fulfill whatever is on your wishlist. But of course the start of  a new year always is at least a reminder of reflection and taking time to evaluate what you have and what you want for yourself.

When it comes to this blog I have to be honest and say that I´ve struggled a bit lately to find the inspiration to continue and that is completely new to me. But what I´ve decided is that it is too important to me to quit, I love sharing what inspires me and most of all I love when you guys respond and leave comments. Because I can see that there are a lot of you out there and I´m so thankful for having you here. So one what we could call a new year´s resolution is that I´ll keep on sharing what inspires me the most and I´m going to try to make it as interesting and fun for you as possible. I´ve also considered starting to write in Swedish instead but I don´t know, I can see that there are a lot of international followers out there too and I don´t want to exclude anyone in any way. If you have ideas or thoughts, please don´t hesitate to share.

Ok – Sunday night before heading off for a rush start to the new work year. Let´s make it a good one xx

Clean October

October to me means starting fresh. As the days get darker you get more tired and the count for endless colds is just about to start. So from now (started already on Monday but if you would like to join what day is better than the first day of the month?):

Exercise minimum three times/week, no alcohol, no sugar, no shopping, as much clean eating as possible, spend as much time as I possibly can outside and to me probably most importantly – making sure to go to bed earlier. Set your own goals or maybe join mine. Welcome October! xx

Ps. Why I´m writing this is because I´m the worst at keeping longer promises like this, I tend to go all in during the first two weeks and then slowly go back to old habits…But I´m hoping that if I put this down in words with you as witnesses I´ll hopefully feel even more motivated Ds.

Vintage shop on wheels

caravan 1 caravan 2 caravan 3 caravan 4 caravan 5 caravan 6 caravan 7 caravan 8I´ve seen this caravan before but don´t think I ever posted anything on it. I´ve just come back from a few days of holiday at Mallorca so maybe I´m enjoying these colors and the sunny feel to it a little bit extra. But I also really like the idea of the ‘Travelling Wares’ caravan travelling shop  – housed in a 1956 caravan called Frankie, hosted by stylist and photographer Kara Rosenlund. Vintage finds for sale specialising in utilitarian pieces for the home, all through this magic piece on wheels.

More about Kara Rosenlund here and you can also see more pics and story through Remodelista and The Design Files.

Fresh start

new times 1 new times 2 new times 3As for most people the new year comes with new plans, ideas, hopes and goals. I´m really good at breaking all promises that has to do with taking care of myself much better but I truly hope (and once again believe) that this time it will actually work. Good and healthy food, exercise, balance between work and family time and the ambition of growing both professionally and as a person. Guessing all of these are the most common New Year´s resolutions of all and then we can add more specific goals within all of these things. Still haven´t slept many hours since we got back form LA so the extra time certainly helps with at least having more time to get things going in the house. Before 8 today all Christmas decorations where gone, one not so tasty but super green smoothy in stomach, second washing machine rolling and first work emails sent off. Meanwhile getting two kids to school. But there is so much more left to do & I really hope to get time to visit Formex (Swedish interior fair) that is starting today – so here we go. To 2015 being a very productive year!
