So many details I like about this house, Toorak2 by Australian Robson Rak Architects & Interior Designers. The layered dining room table, the office with the blue velvet chairs, the leather bench in the hallway, the open doors to the garden from the living room, the surface of the sofa table, the massive stove and much more.
Last hours of work and then of to the summer house to celebrate Midsummer with the family, can´t wait! We have been talking about what two eat for two weeks now and will make all the traditionals plus all the games and other crazy stuff us Swedes are doing on this specific holiday. Here are some of my Midsummer plans:
Lots of good food and a table and setting filled with fresh summer flowers…
Making a strawberry cake that this year will be extra interesting as the kids are picking the filling….
Going almost all in with the romantic theme but am hopefully still safe with black base wearing this…
Swimming in the sea as much as possible after a warming sauna.
Happy Midsummer everybody!

The ranch of fashion designer Tom Ford. I once read an interview where he tells he gets up at 4.30 every morning to have his first (!) bath and somehow the aesthetics of that matches this architecture well. Very clean.
The view from the next apartment I´m decorating for JM (from my Instagram). Not bad, not bad at all. #wishlist
Decorating in a completely new space with no history in the walls to lean back on is both challenging but also very fun as it really takes a lot to make it feel cosy and to show the full potential of what you can actually do in a space like that. It´s a clean start and you have all opportunities to make something starting with colors and going through the whole space with the idea you have created. I´ve had the pleasure of decorating two apartments for JM before (you can see them here and here) and am just about to start my third project. The apartment in these pictures is decorated by Marie Ramse who I have had the pleasure to work with when working for JM. If you only new how many apartments she has decorated and how many similar projects she has got going at the same time, it´s very impressive! And with that task to still find new ideas and a personality to every single project, it´s really so well done and very inspiring. You can see more of Marie´s work here.
I´m going to send off the weekend with another ”holiday ready” inspiration bonanza. I´ve been solo home this weekend as my family is away on a weekend trip so have had plenty of time to among other things surf the web for inspiration and loveliness. Apparently I´m ready for holiday as most of the searching goes to blue skies and water, houses to die for and views to fill all your senses. Two more weeks of work and then, holiday!

Hats on display are most often best in a summer house or in an environment that breathes holiday (if they are straw hats at least) and I really like when putting things you use into something to look at even when not being worn or used. A couple of years ago we where visiting friends in their house in France and this view was what we were welcomed by (from my Instagram). Just loved it. So sweet and the arrangement was simply beautiful and in this case supernatural.

These pictures are not new but I don´t think I´ve ever shown them and was reminded of Swedes in NY when Director Johan Renck is now selling his flat (see pics here). This is (or at least was) the home of singer Nina Persson in Harlem, NY, and I still find it very inspiring.
The rain is pouring down outside but I don´t mind today as I´m planning on staying in bed for a long time without deadlines and work. How about some holiday dreaming? I just love these images and am pinning like mad.
