Midcentury with a view

Located on Park Avenue, New York, with a view over Central Park – this is the home of Brazilian shoe designer Alexandre Birman when he visits the city for business once a month. Designed together with fellow Brazilian interior designer Andre Mellone they put it all together in just a few weeks time. Their shared love for Midcentury pieces and art(+ let´s assume a generous budget) is key to this beautiful result.

Curatorial House

I ´ve fallen in love with the work of Australian design studio Arent & Pyke. They are not afraid to use color and they do it in a very elegant and subtle manner. You can see the love for unique objects and details and each project really feels like it has it´s own soul.

You can see more of their work here.

Huntingtontower Road

I have times where I think I should shut the blog down as it sometimes takes a long while to find something that I really want to put out here. It often feels like I´ve seen most pictures out there and so many of them have been featured here I´m almost starting to forget what I have already posted and not. But then I find places like this and I know that I can´t stop… I just have to share with you when unique pieces like this turns up. This for me is so beautiful, how the indoors and outdoors just melt together as one. I would love a place like that of my own one day. One can always dream, right?
