You might already follow these two but if not I´m going to give you some proper garden inspiration. I just love what they have done and wouldn’t mind at all spending mornings, days and nights in these spots. First three out, Daniella Witte´s amazing terrace and then the garden of Kristin Lagerqvist of Krickelin, also with her unique touch.

Influences

SB 1 SB 3 SB 4Most mornings when being in Los Angeles I go for a run or a walk. Not as much for the exercise as for the love of looking at all the houses and gardens and all of their different looks and souls. As much as I love Scandinavian design and working as an interior stylist mostly featuring those influences, I´m sometimes a bit bored with the trends making all homes look almost the same (and before anyone says anything, I know I´m a part of creating those trends so it´s partly my fault too). The trend right now in Sweden is so beautiful, classic and with the perfect natural color tones in combination with beautiful wood and art pieces. And I love it. And I´m tired of it too…I´ve never been one of wanting just one thing in terms of decor and styling. I like mixing and it often starts with the love for one specific object and then creating a story from that specific piece.

Anyhow – the bedroom featured here I found on American lifestyle site The Effortless Chic and I think it very well captures what I in addition to Scandinavian style love too (along with several other things of course). It´s the warmth, the colors, the personal touch and the effortless cosiness. What I fell in love with at first sight was the beautiful vintage rug that seems to have angled corners. It´s nice with a little variation, right?

No surprise there is a stylist living in this apartment. This is the home of interior stylist Elin Kickén , 1/2 of very talented stylist duo SundlingKickén with impeccable taste. Don´t miss out on their blog either, it´s a daily read for me. Inspiring interviews, monochrome deco in featured color scheme, products to wish for and images from their work. You can find it here.

Time for nomination

Skärmavbild 2017-10-11 kl. 09.23.41I was so happy and overwhelmed last year to be part of the top 10 Interior Bloggers in Sweden in the Elle Decoration Swedish Design Awards. Now it´s time to nominate again and I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t´ be extremely happy if you took the time to vote again. For me or for another favorite, or both. Only a few days left, last day to vote is October 15th. Since I don´t look at statistics that much from being a non-commercial blog I really did appreciate it so much more getting your feedback last year by being nominated so I want to say a big thanks for that! It means a lot since I really put a lot of time and effort in the blog and sharing it with you makes it worth everything.

As I know I have a lot of international readers, a quick translation of the voting page that you can find here . Scroll down the page and then field 1: Name of you favorite blogger, 2: Why do you think this blog should win? What do you like about it?, 3: You first name, 4: Your surname. (Leave boxes without a star), 8: Your emailadress & finally just click approval in the last box with a star attached to it. Then just press send through the big black button and you vote is in.

Thank you! ❤️

I have followed Sofia Wood for a long time and even though her blog was updated the last time 10 months ago I still go there every single day hoping she will return. Luckily she is on Instagram with a daily dose of inspiration of lots and lots of deliciously looking creations.

March: On my mind

Can´t believe how quickly this month has passed by…Only made it through half of my to do -list, both at home at at work. Hopefully April will bring more of  Spring warmth and feelings. But before that, let´s go with the monthly list for March:

travel marchTravel: This month I was asked by my husband to block a weekend in April as he has planned a surprise trip. I´m probably one of the most curios people in the world so I´m trying to get him to reveal where we are going but he is super stubborn about it being a surprise so I will have to wait patiently. In the meantime me and my sister booked a trip for our mother and us as she just turned 70, so Mallorca – see you in September!

shoes marchShoes: Not only do I long for warmer days with lots of fresh fruit but apparently I have the need for dito on my feet too. These cuties are new in my wardrobe (that I have finally cleaned out and organized, wihooo!!)

flower marchFlower: My allergy is on a high at the moment so I´ll take that as proof Spring and more colours in nature are to come. Finally! Our magnolia tree just had one or two flowers when we moved in ten years ago but now it´s happily exploding every Spring and I can´t wait to see how many flowers this year will bring.

outfit marchOutfit: Not only do I crave that bike but that outfit looks just perfect to start of Spring with too.

bedroom marchBedroom: Wouldn’t mind to meet April in a bedroom like this with open windows and no fuzz.

office marchOffice: That floor, big windows, Essay table by Cecilie Manz and Series 7 chair by Arne Jacobsen from Fritz Hansen – yes please.

words marchWords: Simple beauty.

food marchFood: How lovely do these look? Found these amazing coconut acai bowls over at  Design Love Fest. Wish all meals could look this pretty.

series marchSeries: No surprise that just the scenery of this serie keeps me hooked but the cast and plot is so good too. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Swedish Alexander Skarsgård who is actually doing a really great job here. If you haven´t already seen it, perfect for this weekend!

TheSustainableSociety-loggaSustainable pick: My friend Maria Soxbo of interior blog Husligheter has always a million exciting projects going on and this one is no exception. Today she together with 11 other bloggers are launching initiative ”The Sustainable Society”. Together these blogs will pick one subject per month to write about within the subject of sustainability. Love it!! Really looking forward to follow, learn more and see different angles of the same theme.

bloodjungle-39515156--1024x1024Music: Track ”Hands” & ”Air is free” have been recurring tunes in my head since the release in February. This weekend I´ll give the whole album a good listen to see if it all has the same effect.

Pic via and more listening here.

Thank you!

finalistlogga_arets_inredningsbloggare-420x420Thank you so much everyone for sending me to the finals of Interior Blogger of the Year 2017 in the Elle Decoration Swedish Design Awards. Super happy and proud to be among these great 9 interior bloggers in Sweden. I really do put a lot of work and love into this page so it really warms my heart that so many of you appreciate that. It´s definitely a win just to be a finalist. I´m laughing a bit when seeing all the photos of us nominees as my daughter asked me ”why are you the only one looking so angry, Mom?” Ha ha, I will work on that but trust me, I´m really not, just super uncomfortable in front of a camera.

Check out the nominees and where to vote here.
