Sometimes when I see places like this for sale I start dreaming of buying it and start a new career in the hotel business…50 rooms and an interior that is already a solid base with a perfect view and setting in Sörmland, Sweden. Would´t mind at all floating around in that raft sauna any day of the year.

I immediately found this beauty ending up dreaming of more adventures. As so often I found this place in Canyon Point, Utah, via the always inspiring Rich Stapleton for Cereal Magazine. I could show twice as many pictures as the site of Amangiri offers amazing ones too but I just love how Rich had captured it all through his lense. You can see other great views of this amazing place here.

Hi from LA!

Hope you all are having a great start to 2017. Things have been a bit slow on the blog due to holiday in Los Angeles but I´ll make sure to check in here and there anyway. Here are some postcards of the days that have passed. Happy New Year everybody!

1.Pokémon break on Santa Monica pier. We have heard that this spot would be great for Pokémon hunt and the success was total. 2. Waking up to this view every day is just incredible. Need to pinch my arm constantly. 3. Our first lunch in summer heat at favorite Shutters on The Beach. 4. Butcher´s Daughter in Venice, very nice spot. 5. Christmas with friends in Los Feliz. 6. One one side the ocean and the other mountains tops covered in snow. Opposites attract 7. Bike ride along the coast. Love it. 8. Highlights of 2016 #bestnine. 9. Low tide walk in Malibu, Paradise Cove

November: On my mind

Yes I know, 8 days of December have already passed by but didn´t want to miss out on a list for November so here we go:

travel novTravel: This magical camp is not where I´m spending my time at the moment but I am in South Africa (in Cape Town) for a week of work and am super excited as I´ve never been here before. The image is from Singita Lebombo in South Africa, at the border with Mozambique. I would love to travel Africa more and really enjoyed Condé Nasts guide to the best safari lodges and camps. Photo by Adrian Leuw.

shoes novemberShoes: I don´t know if it´s being closer to a more exotic animal life but I just bought these shoes and love them!! Can pick up any outfit and any day.

Pic via. flower nov

Flower: I used to not like Amaryllis at all but that has changed over the past years and now I love sprinkling them all over our home counting down the days before Christmas.

outfit novOutfit: All of a sudden I had to think about putting this pale piece of body in summer clothes again and I just missed a similar dress as they ran out of it. Such a shame as that would have been the perfect work outfit for me.

outdoor space nov

Outdoor space: I unfortunately  can´t show you pics of the amazing location we are shooting at but like in this image it has this incredible sense of no walls between indoor and outdoors, topped with amazing views over Cape Town and the ocean. The advantage of living in a climate warmer than ours.

Office: In the current issue of Residence Magazine the home of Fashion editor Daniel Lindström is featured. I had the pleasure of styling that job and fell in love with his home office space. I love books and what they add to an interior and this was certainly no exception. Would love to sit there reading and writing.

words novWords: Those words have been in my head for some weeks as I´m struggling so hard with fear of flying and leaving the kids back home. But I´ve made the decision not to let my fears limit my life and here I am. Super happy about this experience of work yet anxious of getting on a plane in a few hours again. Some day I´m hoping to reach a better balance where fear is no longer an issue.

food novFood: As much as I enjoy a slice of summer right now I can´t wait to get back to my family for some traditional pre-Christmas celebrations before heading of to some more adventures.

Pic via.

book novBook: This must be the most blog mentioned book of the month and I´m no different. Definitely on my wishlist.

Pic via.

gift novSustainable pick: It´s Christmas soon and with that comes Christmas gifts. We are trying to clean out all of the toys, clothes and books that the kids are not using any more to pass that forward to someone who will treasure them more.  Most things still look brand new and deserves more rounds of fun. And re-gifting, I think that is great! Old gifts that where not right for you, pass it forward instead of only buying new stuff.

Pic via.

music novMusic: I´m having some difficulties with this category this month as I´m currently sitting in the lobby of the hotel while they are vacuuming the floors and are playing crazy high speed lounge jazz. Not much of inspiration to say the least. Christmas music old style has been the only thing I´ve been listening to for the last month as I have really been in a Christmas mood but this cutie from People People was just added to my wishlist when seeing it over at Hanna Wessman.

Colours of Marrakesh

marra 1 marra 2 marra 3Ok, yesterday I wrote I had no desire at all to go abroad right now but when I started to read Ulrika´s of Seventeen Doors guide to Marrakesh this morning I have to admit I changed my mind. But who can blame me when the sky looks like it´s going to fall down on you and the colours of that city are just so powerful and bright. You can read the guide here.

All pics by Ulrika with thanks.

October: On my mind

I know we have already entered November so it´s a little bit late but could´t resist starting the weekend with a list for October anyway. Happy weekend everybody!

ett hemTravel: Right now I have absolutely no desire to go abroad but would´t at all mind a staycation here in Stockholm. Just me and my love for at least one night.

burgundy healsShoes: I really want a pair of burgundy heals (not that I wear heals that often, especially not in bed, but still enjoy dreaming about it). Those heals look super thin and will probably cause a fracture but oh how they would make any outfit more fun.

Pic via.

flowers octFlower: Hortensia has been on the list before but I really love this flower and how changing it´s color can add to every season.

Pic via.

outfit octoberOutfit: Big knits and good hair, yes please.

outdoor octoberOutdoor space: Since travel above offered a bedroom view I´m changing the bedroom category for outdoor space instead. This is the way I want to spend the days of Fall.

Screen Shot 2016-11-04 at 09.59.11Office: Last week I did a photo shoot for Residence Magazine in a home with an amazing home office to be inspired by. I love working for them as it always takes me to amazing places. The issue will be out next month and until then the colours and textures of this space will stay in my mind. It´s an office corner of a bedroom of Mauritzhof Hotel in Münster.

Pic via.

words octoberWords: Hopefully you are too? To dream is also planning, right? No fear.

Pic via.

food octoberFood: I´ve only made something with pumpkin once and that was cooking pumpkin soup when living in Paris 18 years ago so I can´t really say it´s one of my signature ingredients. But yesterday I had the most amazing warm pumpkin, sage & almond dish and now all I want to do is try something similar again. This recipe of Maple roasted pumpkin with chili and feta looked really good, maybe something for the weekend?

Series: Have always had a crush on Sarah Jessica Parker, from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to classic Sex & The City. So needless to say I was really happy to see her star in the new series ”Divorce” on HBO, so good.

susstainable octSustainable pick: How come all products always empty at the same time? They are not at least by me used in the same way, the bottles are of different sizes and so on but still it seems they follow the same trend. This time I want to find some new products as I have always used the same and found Moonsun over at Make It Last. Good reviews, organic and with high quality ingredients. Please make me glow!

Music: Solange´s album ”A Seat at the Table” was released in September and has been the soundtrack of my work days since then. One of those albums that put you in a good and calm mood.

Melimeli bedlinen to be launched soon

You can see the (new old) trend of hotel looking graphic bed linen spreading at the moment. Unfortunately for me I have to admit as I had come a really far way of developing my own thing with just bedlinen on the exact same theme but I just have to realize that I was too slow….and that it would not make any sense going ahead with this project when so many currently are launching similar things. Things you learn from the process, don’t be too cautious and detailed! It might end up being too late when you are done…Anyway – the good thing is that there are many nice looking options out there at the moment. You will soon see one of them in a styling of mine and here are also some other options if you wish to embrace the trend.

Miramonti Boutique Hotel

miramonti 1 miramonti 2 miramonti 4 miramonti 7 miramonti 8 miramonti 9 miramonti 10Every year this time of year I start dreaming about going to the Alps or way up North to experience nature while changing colors and breathing that super clean crisp air. The Miramonti boutique hotel in the South Tyrol, Italy, passed by my feed on instagram via @smallluxuryhotels and the dream was once again starting. A weekend with that view? Yes please!
