Situated in Australia this house has got a very Scandinavian feel to it. Even though very minimalistic it still has a warm and natural ambiance with nature and sea as backdrop. The cold element of concrete mixes well with warmer wooden details.

This house is all about space & air, closely attached to living with nature. I´m not always about modern style and minimalism but this is what I crave at the moment. Just the feeling of being able to breathe without distractions and…reality.
I´ve been inspired by Athena Calderone for some time now and her summerhouse in Amagansett is no exception. You have probably seen her NY kitchen a million times as it is one of the most featured inspirational pictures ever I would guess. In addition to great interior taste she is also making lots of delicious food presented in the most perfect way. Athena´s first book ”Cook Beautiful” is now followed by recently released ”Live Beautiful”, both on my wishlist. You can read more about Athena and her work on her lifestyle site EyeSwoon.
It´s also fun to see how taste really changes and develops by comparing what the house looked like before the renovation. You can see what it looked like before here. And if you have missed her NY apartment with that amazing kitchen mentioned above, here you go.
At home with very talented and funny interior stylist Linnéa Salmén in her & boyfriend´s studio apartment in Stockholm. With an eye for fun shapes, details, collecting and not being afraid of defying the minimalistic trend – this place is a rare gem in the Swedish stylist team. You can see more of Linnéa´s work here.
I thought maybe the end of blogging had come but I´ll make sure to let you know before that happens since I can see that there still are some few brave ones that keep on checking in daily even though I´ve been away for so long. Thank you so much for that. It keeps me wanting to get back in here and breathe some air to what has been my baby for 10 years now….I can´t believe I´ve had it for so long but it´s definitely worth celebrating with some inspiration sharing again. These images have been around for a while but today I saw them all together again and I think they are just so beautiful. It´s actually a Zara Home campaign and the idea of using architect Danielle Siggerud´s home as back drop I brilliant.
In one of my current projects I´m decorating a dining room that is going on a Scandi theme with classic design. My eyes are on this beauty….The ARV chair designed by Studio David Thulstrup especially for restaurant Noma in Copenhagen. Perfection.
